  Instructions for TALKS

  • The conference room is equipped with both a digital projector connected to a PC and a overhead slide projector. It will also be possible to connect personal laptops.
  • However, speakers are kindly requested to use the conference PC avoiding to use their laptops. This will help having a smoother transition between speakers.
  • Accepted formats include Word, PowerPoint, as well as PostScript and PDF. For special requirements (plug-ins for movie rendering, say) the authors should contact in advance the Secretariat.
  • The authors should give special care to the graphical quality of their slides, to ensure that they are clearly visible for the entire audience, including the last seats. To this end:

    • The minimum font size should be 18 points.

    • The choice of colors should guarantee a good contrast: when using a white background any light color should be avoided, both for the fonts and the plots/drawings

    • The same considerations apply of course to handwritten slides.

  • Have your talk copied on a CD or diskette (in case you use slides, we kindly ask you to have them scanned and copied on a CD or diskette).
  • You should give the CD/diskette at the conference desk when you register or at least the day before your talk, so we have time to copy your presentation to the conference PC
  • In case your presentation is in digital format, we strongly suggest that you find the time to test its functioning beforehand (e.g. during a coffee break). This is especially true if you need to use your personal laptop.

  Instructions for POSTERS

  • Poster size: 90x120cm2
  • Please remember to have the poster with you when you register.
  • You will receive instruction on how and where to place your poster at the conference desk.
  • Please remember that the poster session will be held on Tue. July 8 starting at 18:00.
