Bergamo Scienza: guided tour of Virgo

Two 3km-long tubes arranged in an L-shape, inside which powerful laser beams are reflected in mirrors suspended on imposing pendulums. All this is the Virgo interferometer, the European gravitational wave detector installed in Cascina, in the province of Pisa.
In the third virtual tour of the BergamoScienza2021 Festival we will introduce you to an observatory where hundreds of scientists from all over the world collaborate to probe the folds of space-time and high-energy astrophysical phenomena.
