Future workshops

    • Interdisciplinarity: Exchange and interpretation of instrumental methodologies and data between the HEA, GW and GEO communities

Astro-Geo Workshop  dates to be defined

    • Alerts: Support a common policy on the issues of low latency alerts and data sharing

Low Latency Alerts  5-7 October 2022

    • Sensor R&D: Support the exchanges on sensors and mitigation practices common to HEA and GW (in particular  photo-detectors, control of stray light)

    Dates to be defined

    Past workshops

    • Next generation: Define the enabling technologies and the main technical design elements of the next generation of relevant large infrastructures and in particular Einstein Telescope
    • We also organized the ET-Cosmic Explorer remote workshop (July 13, 2020), focusing on the science targets of the 3rd generation GW observatories, and
    • The 11th ET symposium (November 30- December 3, 2020), with the participation of > 700 scientists, discussing the scientific and technological challenges or the realisation of the Einstein Telescope. https://indico.in2p3.fr/event/20576/
    • The workshops are organized by AHEAD 2020 which is a Research and Innovation Action funded by Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research. Its goal is to integrate the communities of high energy astrophysics and gravitational waves into a new large community that acts coherently, sharing practices and ideas.
